General Summary
Well, the season for the youthful Warriors is complete, we’ve had ups and downs, players in and out, we’ve horror stories and we’ve had legends put down there markers for the future. Its been, interesting.
AFA Qualifier One
The league is now over and we know can announce my immature side have finished in 7th place in a 16 team league, not bad for a bunch of kids. Next season they’ll be needing to take it to the next level though as we’ll be in the top flight! The club was sitting in the top five teams until the final 3 games (which we lost all of), I blame it all on an injury to my defensive midfielder Sunny who picked up a injury in a youth match which ruled him out of the league run in.
Whilst Fabianski did let in quite a few goals, it was to be expected with such a inexperienced back four in front of him. Defender Martin Caceres definitely made a impact though as he was our top scorer with 12 goals in the league, it was a shame striker Adrian didn’t really get going until near the end of season.
AFA Cup
The club scrapped thru the first round by the skin of there teeth with a 3-2 away win, but the youngsters lacked the experience and consistency needed in the cup as they got dumped out in the 2nd round 3-1.
AFA U21 Cup & U21 League
Whilst we pretty much average in the youth league, we did grab a 4-2 victory in the youth cup final against a team who won the Youth League, AFA Cup & AFA Qualifier 2. Adrian shone in the cup as he grabbed 3 goals to finish joint top scorer, shame he didn’t perform so well in the league.
The Future of the Elite Five
Fabianski – Whilst not having played awesome, he has been impressive behind a shaky back four. The future looks bright for the polish keeper, as the back for gain experience I expect so will his performances.
Current Ability 4/Potential Ability 4
Martin Caceres – Hes been phenomenal at corners, and works so hard for the team during matches, hes helped stop some of bigger names in the gameworld despite his age. A legend in the making at the club.
Current Ability 4/Potential Ability 5
Sunny – Has had his work cut out in protecting the defence but hes reacted to the challenge greatly, has defiantly been the beating heart at the centre of my team, lets hope it beats stronger with time.
Current Ability 4.5/Potential Ability 5
Martin Galvan – Not yet up to standard of first team football he has been learning his craft in my U17s, recently added him to my U18s. Whilst he is young and undeveloped he has show great potential and glimpse of what to expect from him in the future. One thing im not going to be doing is rushing him into the senior squad.
Current Ability 1.5/Potential Ability 5
Adrian – Started slow in my team, tho he looks good on paper and full of potential he still didn’t seem to have the experience or confidence for first team football. Tho this could have been down in some part to his striker partners being loanees. Towards the end of the season he really was showing some great touches of class to grab goals, I really do expect great things from him next season.
Current Ability 3/Potential Ability 4
Ones To Watch
Next season we’ll be seeing a “no loan in” policy at the club, what this means is I’ll be pushing my own talent into action rather than bringing in players on loan. Now that we’re in the top flight I don’t need to have the best team available and im sure the players I do have have the ability to succeed, some more than others…
Nebojsa Gavrilovic – alongside Caceres who was partnered much of last season by loaned in centrebacks.
Michael Muller – What a youngster, all the last season he quitly played his matches and got on with the job in hand, and still a young pup at just 15.
Robson Andrade – A lot of the time Andrade has been eclipsed by another Brazilian kid at the club, but his talents haven’t gone un noticed by me, improvement has been steady and I expect he will continue to dazzle everytime he comes off the bench.
Andre Augusto da Silva – The coaching staff believe hes ready for regular first team football, so that’s what hes been getting for the 2nd half of last season. Next season I’ll be looking for him to share his spot in the starting IX with Andrade tho.
Terry Dixon – Was a regular in the team at the start of last season, but when we ditched the AMC role for a more defensive postion Dixon was relegated to the bench. Hes been catching my eye though with some goals off the bench in the business end of the league, next season im sure I will feature him regulary again.
Roberto Grimaudo – Next season will be his big chance to impress, I’ll be pairing either him or Dixon alongside Adrian in our senior matches, its make or break time for the lad. The mails from the training pitch have been impressive, lets hope next season he’ll be grabbing the goals to underline that.
Expected Starting XI & Formation
I cant see any reason why we’d be differing much from last seasons 4-3-3/Diamond Hybrid, its great defensively I maybe looking at making a few attacking tweaks but the shape should stay the same.
GK – Lukasz Fabianski
WBL – Majd Younis
DC – Nebojsa Gavrilovic
DC – Martin Caceres
WBR –Michael Muller
DMC – Sunny
MC – Christian Mendez
MC – Robson Andrade/ Andre Augusto da Silva
MC – Branislav Yankovic
FC – Roberto Grimauldo/Terry Dixon
FC – Adrian
Transfer Targets
Whilst im not going to give away any transfer targets, i am taking a look at the wage auctions and will be trying to bring in some experienced U21 players.
WBR – Whilst Muller is playing ok in the position im still looking at bringing in a more experienced fullback as at 15 i feel he i still to young, hopefuly i can grab someone with good corner taking as we lack a good corner magician.
MC – In midfield im looking for some to thread that killer ball to my forwards as this is one of the current midfields weaknesses, them lacking in ability and experience could be the reason why my attack has been fairly impotent.
FC - Whilst we have lots of potential waiting to partner first choice striker Adrian, it wont harm my teams prospects if i dip into the market for another striker, at worst they could be sold at the end of the season for a profit if i pick the right players.

The odd improvement here and the odd signing there, the last few days have seen a few in and a few who got away.
Curros Vacas
With Timossi getting on a bit the club decided to bring in someone to cover incase of a injury or retirement. Vacas has all the markings of a good defence minded midfielder who is highly respected and influential amongst his team mates. Curro joined from top XFA side Hammer Time for a bargain £30,000.
.
.
Oleg Husyev
The club at the time was lacking in natural midfield wingers and good right back, after failing in a big money bid for Portuguese prospect Nani the club turned to the much cheaper alternative Husyev. Whilst not excelling at any one technical ability he is well rounded, determined and hardworking individual, who poses two things that wide players need and abundance, pace and acceleration. Signed for £187,000 Oleg has gone from strength to strength at the club and is now reported to be worth between £450,000 and £1.1million after just 46 appearances for the team.
Serge Die
With the right hand sorted out with the signing of Husyev the club then turned to the left hand side, after a short spell on trial, Ivorian Serge Die did enough to impress the club manager and he was signed up for a tiny fee of just £10,000. Hes been impressive so far and could well turn out to the signing of the season for the club!
.
.
Cacapa
When the club noticed that experienced Brazilian Cacapa was in a auction the club decided that he could well be the man for the club to aim those corners at. He joined for a bargain £87,000. And wow has he shown the fans what hes capable of, hes scored an astonishing 7 goals in 14 games, not bad for a centreback! Im sure Katalyst are kicking themselves for letting him go now.

The last few days have been full of transfer activity at The Dungeon, no less then 5 players have been shown the door…
Amdy Faye
On Saturday ex Newcastle defensive midfielder Amdy Faye was shown the door, rumour has it he was paid off to the tune of £63,000 to leave the club. Amdy was one of the clubs original players but failed to hold down a first team spot, unfortunately ex-Roma legend Tomassi has played superbly in the holding midfielder role for the club despite his age.
Aloisio
Also at the same time as Amdy backup striker, Aloisio, was released from his contract. The journeyman Brazilian featured over 50 times for the club mainly all as a sub, and failed to make his mark on the team only scoreing 3 goals. When the club switched to a lone striker formation his chances of holding down a first team place rapidly diminished as was allowed to leave the club. Many fans wonder what might have been as the club have now gone back to a 4-3-3 formation, could we see him back for a 2nd chance sometime soon?
Clodoaldo
Another Brazilian benchwarmer was sold the following day, Clodoaldo was a good utility player, but whilst a technically gifted player, unfortunately Clod was rather lacking in the mental areas so he like all those who have left before him he couldn’t hold down a first team place and was sold to Dimo Utd for £26,000.
After the signing of a new centreback which saw him fall even further down the pecking order, Cho went to his manager to talk about his position at the club. After a long meeting the clubs manager Robert Webb decided out of respect to place the South Koreon centreback in auction, Cho left the club for Red And Blue United for a reported £50,000. The club and fans wish the player all the best at his new club.
Roman Sharonov
Yesterday saw first teamer Sharonov leave the club on a 7 day loan after another centreback was brought into the club. Whilst Roman hadn’t played badly, actually he’d played quite well, but unfortunately manager Webb had lost confidence in him and wanted a big man who was a natural centreback (Roman is a defensive midfielder by trade) who the team could fire corners into. Rumours are bouncing around that he is a marked man and could soon leave on a permanent deal.

As the clubs in GW22 start to slowly build up cash we’re starting to see the wage auction market starting to come alive, and yesterday The Warriors decided to make their first bid of the new gameworld. The player was England prospect, Micah Richards. Unfortunately a late bid from Chazz FC saw them beat The Warriors to Micahs signature just after midnight.
Whilst Richards is a great player it left a lot of fans slightly bemused that the club was willing to blow what was likely to be there entire cash reserves on just one player, that they really didn’t need as the club has been very tight at the back in the opening days, especially with goalkeeper Marco Storari doing such a great job between the sticks.
Many experts believe that this was just the Warriors flexing their financial muscle in the transfer market, and that shrewd manager Webb was just putting up a smoke screen over other, more viable targets. These experts are of the belief that Robert is infact looking at left and right midfielders as the aging Damiano Tommasi and Claudio Sarria have a staggering 67 years of experience between them.
Well the season is now underway, had some last minute transfers before the season started.
Firstly I brought wonderkid Eden Hazard into my squad a few days before the season started on loan from Northern United, the reason for the loan was I couldn’t afford him until the season kicked off and I needed him to replace Arturo Lupoli as my U21 striker as he was now 22, hopefully this will give me a good chance of defending my PFA Youth League crown successfully. I also brought in a young GK called Samir Ujkani who will replace Rybka in the U21s as he should age to 22 any day now, tho he does look pretty promising im not expecting much from as hes not a regen and 20 years old, its likely in a couple of seasons when hes to old for U21 he’ll be shown the door. When the season kicked off and I played my first PFA Youth League game I realised that I needed a defender so I brought in a brazilian called 21 year old Filipe on trial, he surprisingly played pretty well but because of his age (and not great attributes) I decided to not put a bid in for him, don’t feel sad for him as Jakswans made a last minute grab for him when his trial was nearly over. What this now means when I next play an U21 match im going to have to trial in defender of some sort, seeing as ive got very good coaching skills I probably could negotiate a free loan player off someone. But seeing as im a tightwad im not going to pay 5k to send out a transfer mail haha.
Financialy the club is doing very well, with over £800,000 in the bank but seeing as im happy with my current players (and the youngsters help for depth of the team) I’ll probably not spend it. One problem tho is im unhappy with the fact my wages are currently higher than my daily income which means my daily profit isn’t as healthy as it could be, I my sell the 36 year old keeper I picked up the other day when the “7 day sale” rule stops.
Lastly, Laturo Acosta, Lupoli and Banega are NOT for sale, every day I get someone wanting to buy them haha.
The side is currently playing about how I expected them to play against the good teams in the PFA Premiership, average at best. My youth side “The Green Arrows” in the U21 competitions is most defiantly the team to beat to people, out of 8 games so far we’ve won them all except for a draw.
Well we made the PFA Premiership by finishing 2nd on goal difference in our qualifier, so its time to improve certain areas of my squad…
Transfers Out
The first thing I decided to do was sell off my reserve U21 players, there where a few gems amongst the 12 i sold, mainly Bruno Pereirinha who played anywhere on the right hand side and was a regular starter on as rightback, Antunes my u21 superstar left back was sold on for a nice £150,000. All in all we gained £300,000 there was a reason for shifting all this deadwood, wages, it freed up about £25,000.
Transfers In
I’d earmarked two players that i needed to bring in, a DC and a DR, Johan Djourou a hot looking 21 year old DC and brazilian god in the making Rafinha, both where available from the free market. Djourou in the end went for a cool £50,000 wage, way higher than my 27k bid, but as his auction ended first it freed it ment i could go real high on Rafinha, hes costing me a cool 37k wages which aint bad for someone so young. Let me say, when i look at fullbacks im not to interested in tackling, im interested in how creative they are, are they quick, can the pass? I like to build my attacks right at the back if i cant get the ball out from the back four accurately where not gonna be able to counter attack effectively. On closer inspection of my current DCs I decided that maybe I didn’t really need a new one, mainly because one of my young ones has a lot of green arrows and is progressing well. My midfield and attacking players are strong and full of excellent youth, so that brings me back to my defence, I could do with a new WBL, who could I go for? Well, young Ajax starlet Urby Emanuelson, this kid with Rafinha would make the perfect young fullback pairing and will be great for seasons to come, he came on a relitivily cheap wage of £23,000, and that’s my team more or less sorted for next season.
The Future
Ive got a young sub goalie Olexandr Rybka who I really want to give games to and make my Number One but Kim Yong-Dae is currently keeping him from the squad (I autoselect my team by the way), so I think I may have to sell off Kim, im thinking £100,000 will be a good price for him seeing as hes kept me in the top 30. Also with one of my young benched DCs progressing so well I can see the point in keeping Reza Jalali Sabet who is another hot prospect with awesome stats for a 17 year old, I should be able to get over £200,000 for him easily but £200k will do me nicely.

David Beckham, everybody loves knows him, global sensation, a legend. At the start of the season i decided to bring in Beckham to not only boost my clubs reputation but he is awsome attribute wise. At cost of £400k i thought he would be a bargain even if i only had one season out of the legendary 33 year old, he also wanted a wooping 35k wages, as it was early in my clubs career i decided that the large wages wouldnt be much of a burden so i went for him. Suprisingly nobody else bidded for him so the wages didnt get pushed up any more.
The Tinkermen at SI decided to play about with player values and wages, and wow did it mess with good ol’becks. His value dropped to 90k and he wanted 9k wages (this after i signed him), then they decided another tweak was in order, 190k and 18k wages was the change after the update. Well here was poor me paying him 35k.
The Warriors league season has now reached the 30 game mark which and with only 8 games left to play im pretty sure ive been successful and secured my place in the top division of PFA, so I decided to shake things up in my team, what to change…
Beckham! Even tho hes been awesome for me ive noticed a constant dropping of his attributes, and by the end of next season hes probably going to pretty old and rubbish so I decided to sell him on. Im very impatient and after putting him up for sale I decided that maybe id be better off loaning him out as after 5minutes id had no bids, so I put him up for loan, 21days and 100% wages paid by the loaning club was the stipulation, swoosh, he was quickly snapped up by Athletico Virgs, after one game for them I decided to tempt fate and challenge them to a match. During the match I received and offer of £300,000 for Golden Balls, you guessed it, private bid accepted.
So that’s that, Beckham after 106 games, 26 goals and 65 assists, has left he club. Him leaving has left me with a very healthy 600k in the bank and a wooping projected cash of £2,600,000!
Filed under: Transfers | Tags: Beckham Mitsubishi Warriors GW6 FML Football Manager
David Beckham has left the free agency and joined Primetime Football Association side Mitsubishi Warriors. The 31-year-old former England captain will sign a two season deal, reportedly worth £1,960,000 and a transfer fee of £400,000.
Beckham said: “This week Warriors asked me to make a decision regarding their offer to sign me. After considering several options to stay on holiday or join another major British and European teams, I have decided to join upcoming Mitsubishi Warriors.”
The near £2m deal is understood to include full cluses that make him freekick, penalty and corner taker, and will see him handed the captains armband.
In a statement, Beckham continued: “I would like to thank the supporters and people of Madrid and United who have made my family and I feel so welcome in my time at the clubs, making this an extremely difficult decision to make. I am proud to have played for two of the biggest clubs in football. I now look forward to the new challenge at The Warriors and turning them into the next big club and hopefully leading them to UFFA glory sometime in the future.”
LA Galaxy manager Robert Webb believes Beckham’s arrival will give worldwide exposure to the high standard of football at Mitsubishi Warriors. He told BBC Five Live: “One of the interesting things that I think people are going to see, is first off, the attention he’s going to bring to the club, people are going to see the quality that exists here, and I fully recognise that many people over in England don’t have a grasp of what’s going on with The Warriors on or off the field. But the fact is that we have a young competitive team, competitive young individual players and a very good and growing Primetime Football league. It’s not that we can’t get better and I would put our federations teams up against some XFA teams in a second”
Beckham left Manchester United in July 2003 to sign for Real, who paid £25m for the midfielder’s services. However, in the three-and-a-half seasons since his arrival, the Spanish giants have failed to win any major trophies.
Last season has proved particularly disappointing for Beckham, who was dropped by England coach Steve McClaren and then fell out of favour with Real boss Capello.
Nearly a week has now passed since the transfer of Daniel Aquino to GW3 team Cavemen from my club The Green Arrows, unfortunatly it would seem that the huge transfer sum is weighing heavily on the youngsters shoulders. It all started in the first games at his new club, not only was he not playing well but he was also getting injured and having to be subbed in his first few games. Slowly his form started to improve and he has now after 40 odd games for Caveman started to perform, but definatly not good enough to justify his £2.5million move.
What went wrong? Many believe that the manager of Cavemen should never have signed the youngster in the first place, but, how was Richard supposed to know that things would not be as rosey for Aquino after his transfer, when he’d spent 3 glorious seasons at Green Arrows (formaly Mitsubishi Warriors)? When Aquino joined The Warriors he joined for a fee of £60,000 but secured a large contract in the region £11,000 in a end of contract wage auction. Did the low transfer fee and high wages play apart in his rise to fame under the guidence? Was it more a case of him being the brightest bulb on a dimley light street? And when he moved to the big lights of the Cavemen he just couldnt shine as brightly as the superstars he joined up with.
Whatever the case there seems to be only one winner in the transfer, Robert Webb, manager of the Green Arrows. Just remember when you make the next big above aquisition fee bid, is he really the star he seems? Im sure tho in the end Aquino will come good, his talents are obvious, and its only a matter of time before Cavemen hit gold with him, but does manager Richard Usher have the patience? Or does Aquino need do book himself into the Marco Boogers caravan park?
