Olexandr Rybka – My 21 year old goalkeeper, a potential superstar. I promoted him to starting keeper midway through season two and hes been performing ever since.
Rafinha – Right fullback, awesome 23 year old who is a consistant performer who always gets over a 7 rating. Determined hard worker who uses his pace and acceleration to bomb down the wings. On huge wages of 37k and worth every penny.
Marek Jankulovski – Veteren Left back, may be getting on a bit at 32 years old but is still a awesome player. Hes a new signing who cost me a cool £2,200,000, i like to think of him as Rafinhas big brothers as they are both very similiar players.
Damiano Ferronetti – A solid centre back, with all the right attributes to play at the heart of defence, a new signing from Nottingham Forest for £1,500,000. Still only 24 so he’s still improving so the world is this lads oyster.
Vaclav Drobny – Massive lad at 6′3″ not the greatest player in the world, but he complements Damiano. Having said that his positioning and anticipation stands him head and shoulders above most centrebacks.
Urby Emanuelson – A natural left back, who after the sale of Essien will take up the defensive midfielder roll. Played a bit part last season as deputy to left back Capauno, this is his chance to shine. Tho he will be playing out of position.
Ever Banega – Needs no introduction, argentine potential superstar, veryday i get bids for this lad. Now with essien gone it shoudl give him the chance to prove himself.
Lauturo Acosta – Superfast attacking midfielder, performs season in season out probably the outright star of my team. Hes about to have his contract renewed and will be going from £3k to £16k, worth every penny i say!
Ismael Beko Fofana – Left winger whos still young and learning his trade, hes only just ahead of Aquino for the left wing spot. Actually plays for Charlton in real life.
Nani – Everyone knows him its Manchester Uniteds winger. His natural position is left wing but he will be playing on the right for me. Technicaly miles better than Fofana, but not as pacey as the oung charlton player. Swapped for Essien at the end of the season.
Radoslaw Matusiak – Pretty average striker, but as everyone knows in gameworld knows, even average strikers are hard to find! Signed to replace starlet Lupoli who was sold for £4,250,000, and only cost £1,000,000!

Well as Fergie puts it, its squeeky bum time in the league. I’ve one game remaining, which if i win could see me take the very first PFA Premiership trophy, if we dont, i’ll look back at the game yesterday when we where 2-0 up only to for it to end up 3-3 after conceding a penalty in injury time, that could well be the game that lost us the title. Are final game is a Real Men Where Pink, we’ve both agreed not to play against the others AI so hopefuly we should play at somepoint today.
For the final game its likely i will be making a change from my tried and tested 4-4-2 Diamond, and using something different, hopefuly i’ll get to use the new tactic in a few youth games before hand.
Whats going thru my head? Something Reesys Boys manager Alex said to me in the PFA chatrooms… “Its mine to lose.”

With FML now in feature lock and SI only working on essential features and bug ironing the game now is almost playable. Alot of complaints seem to be about lag, tho we’re being told that theres two types of lag happening at the moment, lag caused by the servers and lots of teams online, and also ghost lag which isnt actually lag its the database crashing and locking up all the time.
Since ive not liked some of the new features and the different lags are making the game untestable/unplayable ive been easing myself back into FM08, had a marathon session like the old days. Aah, brilliant.
Its pretty sad that all my blog posts seem to be about server crashes and the features i dont like recently, and not about my FML experinces as i wanted this blog to be.

Servers down again (seems to be happening alot these last few weeks) so i thought id do a post. Well, the two talking points in FML at the moment is the Tactics Skills and the huge amount of injuries to players, ive already spoke about my distaste of the tactic skills so i will talk about the large amount of injuries happening.
Ive been offline from FML for about 24hours, and on loggin in i had about 35 ingame mails waiting, and the majority of these werent just about a injured players, they where about injury crisis’ at some clubs, normaly for a club having 5 or more injuries, ouch! Surely someone with injured players will just switch off from FML until the players are better? Suppose thats a good way to help the lag issues haha. There also seems to be fewer friendlies happening becuase people are scared of players limping out… dont worry SI have thought of a way around that… training injuries woohoo, now you dont even have to play games to get injured players, oh dear.
As the game gets closer to release i seem to be leaning more and more to playing FM08, at the current time id probably not sign up to FML. Which is a shame really, a few weeks ago i was really enjoying the game and it was definatly going to be something i signed up for. Hopefuly the guys at SI will see the error of their ways and ditch the high injuries and tactic skills and get on with making the game great!
Remember tactics can be the difference between a great team winning and a great team losing. Take away tactics and the inept of us cant win matches, especialy seeing as you need Level 5 to import tactics. SI have a silly idea that teams will be able to sell tactics at some point in the future, haha, righto so a team winning lots of games is going to sell the uber tactic? Dont talk so daft!
I wonder if the servers are back up?

Today was update day, which shall forever be known as Black Thursday in the world of SI and FM. There was no mention in the release notes of something that had been added that was going to cause a stir… Tactic Skills. Whats that you ask?
As you can see, every little thing you want to do with a tactic no involves you to learn a skill, want to use your big striker as a target man? That’ll take you 6hours 40 minutes. Want someone to hold up the ball? Thats 1day 14hours of skill training. Rubbish at tactics like me and want to import a tactic? Well not only will you need all the little skills for each part of the tactic, youll also need to learn the Tactics Skill Level 5, that on its own is 31 days of skill training. Even the most basic things like Marking, Width tempo, must be learnt to be used. My only question is does this mean the default tactics (and my already imported tactics) can still use all the different settings and i just cant edit them?
Personaly i cant see this making it into full release the way it, fingers crossed it wont, otherwise you wont be seeing me on FML.
Well the season is now underway, had some last minute transfers before the season started.
Firstly I brought wonderkid Eden Hazard into my squad a few days before the season started on loan from Northern United, the reason for the loan was I couldn’t afford him until the season kicked off and I needed him to replace Arturo Lupoli as my U21 striker as he was now 22, hopefully this will give me a good chance of defending my PFA Youth League crown successfully. I also brought in a young GK called Samir Ujkani who will replace Rybka in the U21s as he should age to 22 any day now, tho he does look pretty promising im not expecting much from as hes not a regen and 20 years old, its likely in a couple of seasons when hes to old for U21 he’ll be shown the door. When the season kicked off and I played my first PFA Youth League game I realised that I needed a defender so I brought in a brazilian called 21 year old Filipe on trial, he surprisingly played pretty well but because of his age (and not great attributes) I decided to not put a bid in for him, don’t feel sad for him as Jakswans made a last minute grab for him when his trial was nearly over. What this now means when I next play an U21 match im going to have to trial in defender of some sort, seeing as ive got very good coaching skills I probably could negotiate a free loan player off someone. But seeing as im a tightwad im not going to pay 5k to send out a transfer mail haha.
Financialy the club is doing very well, with over £800,000 in the bank but seeing as im happy with my current players (and the youngsters help for depth of the team) I’ll probably not spend it. One problem tho is im unhappy with the fact my wages are currently higher than my daily income which means my daily profit isn’t as healthy as it could be, I my sell the 36 year old keeper I picked up the other day when the “7 day sale” rule stops.
Lastly, Laturo Acosta, Lupoli and Banega are NOT for sale, every day I get someone wanting to buy them haha.
The side is currently playing about how I expected them to play against the good teams in the PFA Premiership, average at best. My youth side “The Green Arrows” in the U21 competitions is most defiantly the team to beat to people, out of 8 games so far we’ve won them all except for a draw.

Well the season got underway on Saturday Evening more or less on time, as a moderator in GW6 I had to help make sure all the FAs where ready to go, this was no easy task I might add as there where some pretty messed up Football Associations and I spent most of the day not only tweaking the FA im playing in (Primetime FA) I also had to redo the Weekend Casual Association which needed a lot of work. The last hour before the 8pm season start was very hectic! A competition in a FA has to approved by a FA Organizer and before it can be started so it got more hectic as we got closer to the deadline. All went off without a hitch tho.
I’ve got to mention one more thing before I move onto my teams start to the season, and that’s the brilliant layout for prize payouts in the PFA Cup as can be seen in the picture below. Its very unique because prize money is handed out after every Round to teams who win. And also in the PFA Premiership I went to the trouble of giving myself a headache by giving a different prize amount to every single position (all 23), this is a mammoth headache to try and do as all prize percentages must all add up to 100% otherwise the competition editor wont let you out haha.

Gotta love it when the servers are down, this is when my Blog is most read haha! Thanks everyone for reading and making my Blog 2nd only to FML Beta! :D

Well we made the PFA Premiership by finishing 2nd on goal difference in our qualifier, so its time to improve certain areas of my squad…
Transfers Out
The first thing I decided to do was sell off my reserve U21 players, there where a few gems amongst the 12 i sold, mainly Bruno Pereirinha who played anywhere on the right hand side and was a regular starter on as rightback, Antunes my u21 superstar left back was sold on for a nice £150,000. All in all we gained £300,000 there was a reason for shifting all this deadwood, wages, it freed up about £25,000.
Transfers In
I’d earmarked two players that i needed to bring in, a DC and a DR, Johan Djourou a hot looking 21 year old DC and brazilian god in the making Rafinha, both where available from the free market. Djourou in the end went for a cool £50,000 wage, way higher than my 27k bid, but as his auction ended first it freed it ment i could go real high on Rafinha, hes costing me a cool 37k wages which aint bad for someone so young. Let me say, when i look at fullbacks im not to interested in tackling, im interested in how creative they are, are they quick, can the pass? I like to build my attacks right at the back if i cant get the ball out from the back four accurately where not gonna be able to counter attack effectively. On closer inspection of my current DCs I decided that maybe I didn’t really need a new one, mainly because one of my young ones has a lot of green arrows and is progressing well. My midfield and attacking players are strong and full of excellent youth, so that brings me back to my defence, I could do with a new WBL, who could I go for? Well, young Ajax starlet Urby Emanuelson, this kid with Rafinha would make the perfect young fullback pairing and will be great for seasons to come, he came on a relitivily cheap wage of £23,000, and that’s my team more or less sorted for next season.
The Future
Ive got a young sub goalie Olexandr Rybka who I really want to give games to and make my Number One but Kim Yong-Dae is currently keeping him from the squad (I autoselect my team by the way), so I think I may have to sell off Kim, im thinking £100,000 will be a good price for him seeing as hes kept me in the top 30. Also with one of my young benched DCs progressing so well I can see the point in keeping Reza Jalali Sabet who is another hot prospect with awesome stats for a 17 year old, I should be able to get over £200,000 for him easily but £200k will do me nicely.
